I'm currently writing a series of articles about interesting archive records in the Scottish Borders. One of the records is an anonymous threatening letter to a Mr Boyd of Kelso written in 1815. The probable recipient of the letter is Adam Brack-Boyd of Cherrytrees near Kelso, whose wife was Jessie Brack Boyd. I'm intrigued by this grave record because the name is so unusual, yet the dates don't match unless Adam had a daughter. This grave record may give me a lead to tracing Adam's other children.
